about
Here's the new Dfactor single "Home of the Brave", a fast, punk-rockin' tune that brings the heat and smokin' guitars to a nation trapped in uncertainty, fear, isolation, and quarantine.
The music for this track was created in February 2020, and I had toyed with some lyrics around billionaires and elections. But the corona virus has superseded any political squabbling in its intensity, so I moved this lyric into a new zone, creating a rock 'n roll song to motivate us to fight back and win this thing before it gets the better of us.
In times of turmoil and upheaval, people look to music to comfort, inspire and arouse our emotions. We are definitely in uncharted waters right now, and as a music maker, I was motivated to write a song that was emblematic of our will as Americans, of being strong, loud and proud.
"Home of the Brave" is the current single that will appear on the forthcoming Dfactor 2020 full-length release, expected soon, we hope. Or this might be the last song of mine that ever sees the light of day. May God help us all.

-------------------------------------
They say it’s all about to change,
This time for realz, it’s not the same,
Can’t ya see that this is not a game
Just take a look around us all,
Panic in the streets, no protocol,
Will we have to fight before we fall?
[Guitar x 8]
The bigger problem, clear to see,
Isolation versus humanity
Caught up in fear, insecurity,
Can you believe the way it’s gone?
Unclear insights, way too long,
Caught in a trap, it feels so wrong
Time to fight and take a stand,
We’re in charge, we’re in command
Learn to ride out this shockwave,
In the home of the brave, In the home of the brave
[Guitar x 8]
Look up and down, it’s in your town,
Look left and right, who’s within sight?
6 feet away, avoid a fight
It’s comin’ down, the overflow,
The speed, the pace, right to know
And it’s all getting captured on video!
Time to fight and take a stand,
We’re in charge, we’re in command
Gotta beat this shockwave,
In the home of the brave
In the home of the brave
In the home of the brave
In the home of the brave
