Back in the Game Tren-n-n-nds, they often come and go, A glimpse of ever-changing times, Inside the status quo… Truth, it seems to come and go as well, Never seem to know what’s right, Only time will tell... So now it’s time you choose, whether you will follow sheep, (and in that case you’ll lose) Or try to see what’s right, make an impact just the same, Put yourself back in the game, Trips, I’ve taken quite a few of these, From here to there and back again From oceans to the trees Life, Grab hold of it and don’t let go, Stop doing things you don’t wanna do Do What You Know... So now it’s time you choose, understanding all the clues, making sure that you don’t lose, And try to get it right, get yourself back in the game, ride upon that gravy train Back in the Game
3.
Run Away From You I thought I knew a thing or two about you You hooked me into all of the games you were into At first it was fun, you and your tongue, so much sensation Nights followed days, you always amazed, ovations Then I found out that you could be so threatening Soon I wanted out, to help protect my heartstrings And now the time has come to run... away from you. The signs were all there, but what did I care? It was exciting Inside and out, the screams and the shouts, it got weary Such an ordeal, became so unreal, no, really don’t throw that It’s over and done, it’s time to run, away from you You have left a trail of broken men behind me Ain’t no way I’m gonna ride that train til Monday It’s so over and done, and now I have to run... away from you You have left a trail of broken men behind me Ain’t no way I’m gonna be the next in line, babe It’s so over, and done, and now I have to run…. before you get your gun... It’s time for me to run away from you.

The Man Who Thinks He Can Words By: Walter D. Wintle If you think you are beaten, you are If you think you dare not, you don’t, If you like to win, but you think you can’t It is almost certain you won’t. If you think you’ll lose, you’re lost For out of the world we find, Success begins with a fellow’s will It’s all in the state of mind. If you think you are outclassed, you are You’ve got to think high to rise, You’ve got to be sure of yourself before You can ever win a prize. Life’s battles don’t always go To the stronger or faster man, But soon or later the man who wins Is the man WHO THINKS HE CAN! BE THE MAN WHO THINKS HE CAN! BE THE MAN WHO THINKS HE CAN!

We May Never Go Home It started out as a joke, the last thing on my mind was to steal the car, that was taking it too far, Now I’m not that dumb of a guy, to make bad decisions after leaving a bar, a rock n roll bar, yeah... She said that I should just let go, have some fun and forget the shit that’s been holding me down, like a clown, So we hopped inside, slammed the pedal down, took a hard left and never looked back, doncha ever look back… And now we’re on the road, heading way outside our comfort zones, we may never go home Flyin’ on the moonlight drive, it’s dark outside, we're leaving ‘em all in the dust, look at us, What a feeling, can’t you see, behind the wheel, livin’ the dream, it’s our fantasy, just she and me. We’re headin’ on the road, it’s our life, there ain’t no comfort zones, Yeah, this is our home…. (repeat)

Sabotage 02:52
Sabotage I’ve had my share of Bloody Marys, too many nights with Jack and Coke And through it all I kept my sense of humor, Everything was for a joke. But now I look around this life, And everything seems just a curse, You fight the fights that you can win, Try to make it not get worse... And I-I-I-I can’t take it no more… Time to even up the score! Sabotage or maybe more! There’s angry people all around Maybe you see ‘em in your town, They’re shouting slogans, making noise… Scaring all the little boys… Where are we gonna go from here? Where are we gonna go from here? Where are you gonna go from here? And I-I-I-I can’t take it no more… Time to even up the score! Sabotage or maybe more!

Just Like You Never told you about the way I feel inside, always found it easier to fun and hide, But times they change and so have I, and now we gotta see if this thing can fly... Just like you, I want to become filthy rich, working too hard doesn't even scratch the itch. Just like you, I want to get out of the ditch and fight my way to the top. Just like you, I want to become filthy rich, working too hard doesn't even scratch the itch. Just like you, I want to get out of the ditch and fight my way to the top. and never never stop, and tell you it's the only way to live, the only way to live....

Rock 'n Roll Forever Where have you gone? You've been hiding in dark clubs way too long Losing purpose, aging ungracefully, But now it's time, shake it like you're on an amped-up zipline, higher, faster, Movin' too those too slow, The drums are hot, the bass is on, and my guitar has got a song! All we need for you is to shout... Rock 'n Roll Forever Rock 'n Roll will never die Turn it up so loud, show off in the crowd, yeah, rock n roll's still here for me and you! I hear my chord and it pulls me through, what else am I supposed to do? All we need for you is to shout... Rock 'n Roll Forever Rock 'n Roll will never die Jump around right here, fist up in the air yeah, rock n roll's still here for me and you! Rock 'n Roll Forever Rock 'n Roll will never die Turn it up so loud, show off in the crowd, Rock 'n roll's still here, Oh, hell yeah we care... Ah, rock 'n roll's still here for me and you! For me and you!

Forest for the Trees In the heat of July, there’s a way that I start my day, Dive into the pool, swim around, it’s my hideaway It cools me alright, wakes me up, and sets my head on tight, If that’s all that I do all day, then I’m doin’ alright Cuz I can’t see the forest for the trees, Minutia gets in the way, stifling the breeze Like two moons shining in the sky, Confusion gets oh so real, so preoccupied When I’m driving at night, I see things that give me a fright, Real or imagined, I just don’t know what is right, Can I conquer my fears, or will I spend the night in jail, No more nights of Coast-to-Coast, I’m beyond the pale. For it’s all a dull impression, can’t you see? Colliding with Cabernet, down on my knees Better stick close to me, best you can do, Help me through my madness, that’s all I want from you

about

The new Dfactor 2018 solo LP is here! It's called "Nostalgia for Now" and available here at Bandcamp for streaming and download!

'Nostalgia for Now' is fast, hooky, catchy, melodic, rockin' and tight. Play these songs and share with your friends! Stream the LP or download your favorite songs at:
dfactor.bandcamp.com
soundcloud.com/dfactor/
and on the major streaming channels in the weeks ahead.

These 10 new Dfactor original songs range from straight-up punky powerpop to classic garage rock, some synth and piano tracks and more of Dfactor's curious musings about life, love, history, and nostalgia. Longtime Dfactor fans will dig the riveting guitars and melodic vocals. As Dfactor Dave ages, his voice gets higher. Weird.

* Album Highlights *
'Nostalgia for Now' features the new hit song "Summer's Here to Stay" a catchy pop song with all the right tics for a summer hit! It received an exclusive airing on KWSS 93.9 in Phoenix this week!

The LP also includes the two previously released singles
- "We May Never Go Home" a throbbing, hooky, synth-driven song about love, romance, driving and adventure, and
- "The Man Who Thinks He Can" a singalong cut that grafts a century-old poem onto a modern rock 'n roll template.

Other outstanding rockers include
- "Just Like You", a Kinks-like cop that taps into today's startup/get-rich sensibility;
- "Run Away from You" is a desperate romance-gone-awry tale that turns #MeToo upside down;
- the title track "Nostalgia for Now" which combines punky-pop fervor with a singalong chorus; and
- "Sabotage" a garage-rockin' glance at the polarity and division affecting all of us.

CREDITS:
Dfactor Dave plays all instruments (including piano, synth, bass, guitars, and drums), and sings all lead and backing vocals on these tracks. His daughter added some high notes on the title track.

DFACTOR POP BIO
